A mountain

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">In a small village in Hälsingland county in Sweden, there is a mountain that tells a story..... or a story is told about this mountain.

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">They say a legend is a story with some truth in it, but how big a portion of truth is in this story is not that important to me. What matters is how strongly the story still lives on in the village and how people continue to tell the story to keep it alive, forever...and ever.

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">It makes me want to be a part of the preservation of the legend, and contribute with my own personal interpretation of the Hårga dance and the mountain, in the village Hårga in Hanebo Parish.

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Writings on this legend go back several hundred years. I can't remember the first time I heard about the mountain. It's always been present.
Everyone I know is aware of the legend and how the story goes.
I'm not sure how many times I've wandered up the mountain as a child, to watch the old tree on the plateau.
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">I grew up in the 1980's, about 12 miles from the mountain.
The story was always around, even in school we learned to sing the 'Harga song'. We were also taught the old 'Hambo dance' in gym class.
All this has a connection to the story, the story of the dance that went up the mountain, the mountain situated in a village in Halsingland county.
